A large food products company was looking to retain risk within its wholly owned captive. Traditionally, the company had retained only small layers of risk and certain coverages within its captive, but was looking to expand the captive’s involvement into other casualty lines and to additional limits.
After extensive analysis on all sides, the company decided to partner with Old Republic Risk Management, which allowed it to reinsure the policy through its captive and fund losses with premiums ceded to the captive.
